The NSW TD AGM and NSW Malibu Series presentation night are to be held on, Saturday 31st May at the East Lakes Football Club, 3 Oxley Street, GRIFFITH ACT 2603 <http://www.eastlakefc.com.au/efc/> Be there as we celebrate another great year of skiing and thank Malibu for their support. Well known Tournament skier, ski racer and disabled competitor Geoff Burgess has been reported injured in a boating accident on Sydney Harbour on 10th March. See this NMH article. We wish Geoff well in his recovery. |

C/O 33 Pinnacle Drive Rawson On Behalf of the LVWSC I would like to officially advise the VWSF-TD & the AWWF that for the season 08/09 we will no longer be in a position to conduct any official state or National 3 event water ski Tournaments at our existing site. |

Peter O'Neill form Victoria and Asheligh Stebbeings from Queensland have both capped off a remarkbale 2007 by being named as the 2007 IWSF World Barefoot Council's skiers of the year. Thsi is the first time for Peter but the 2nd now for Ashleigh after her award also in 2006. Both skiers won their respective divisions at the 07 Nationals, the 07 AA Championships and also topped the Australian and Region Standings for 2007. |

It is always great to see the establishment of another tournament site. It brings the hope that some new star may be brought into the sport, which is why it was great to hear that the Mildura Waterski Club has secured a private site and installed a slalom course. Gavin Mcmillan reports:- |

In a recent addition to our History Section, we have added a copy of the Australian Water Skier Magazine from November 1974. It includes an article on learning to ski by Sandy Cockburn with pictures of Graeme, and items from the now defunct Kite Flying Division as well as the early days of the Barefoot and Ski Racing Divisions.
